Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
This policy explains how Sack the Boss collects and uses your personal information when you contact us through sacktheboss.co.uk, and what your rights are.
Who we are
Sack the Boss is run by Del Hughes, a self employed, independent Utility Warehouse (UW) Partner. Sack the Boss is the name of Del's team of UW Partners. We are not Utility Warehouse and we do not act on UW's behalf when we handle your enquiry.
For the information described in this policy, Del Hughes (trading as Sack the Boss) is the data controller.

What we collect
When you fill in the form on our website we collect:
• your first name and last name
• your email address
• your mobile number
• the name of any team member you say you know or would like to talk to
We also keep a record of when you contacted us, what we have sent you, any replies, any call you book with us, and any request you make to stop hearing from us.
If you book a call through our booking page or join our open call, the booking or meeting service will also collect the details you give it, such as your name, email and phone number.
How we use your information and why
1. To reply to your enquiry and tell you about the UW Partner opportunity. This includes sending you the video, the UW Info Magazine, a link to book a phone call, details of our open call, and a small number of follow up messages by email, text or phone.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests. You asked us for information, and replying to you, sending what you asked for and following up a few times is something you would reasonably expect. You can tell us to stop at any time and we will.
2. To pass your details to the team member you name. If you name a UW Partner in our team, we will pass your name, email address and mobile number to that Partner so they can contact you. They will use your details to talk to you about the opportunity, and they are responsible for how they use them from then on.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests. You asked to speak with that person, so passing your details to them is what you would expect, and it is the simplest way to do what you asked. We only share your details with the person you name, and only after we have checked that they are a current UW Partner in our team. If we cannot identify them with confidence, we will check with you first or not share at all. We always tell you when we have passed your details on. If you would rather we didn't, just tell us and we will not share them, or if they have already been shared we will ask that Partner not to contact you.
3. To keep records and stay within the law. We keep a record of what we sent and of any opt out, so that we do not contact you again after you have asked us not to.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests and legal obligation.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
• The UW Partner you name, as explained above.
• Utility Warehouse, only if you decide to apply to become a UW Partner, in which case UW handles your application under its own privacy notice.
• Service providers who help us run things, acting on our instructions:
* Wix, which hosts our website and form, stores contact records and sends some automated emails
* Google, which provides our email
* Calendly, if you book a call
* Zoom, if you join our open call
* Microsoft, whose Phone Link software we use to send text messages from our phone
* IT and automation tools, including AI assisted tools, that help us organise and respond to enquiries. These run on our own computer and on secure cloud services.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK, for example in the USA. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
Automated tools
We use automated tools to sort new enquiries, send replies and check the team member you name against our team list. No decision with legal or similarly significant effects is made about you by automated means alone, and a referral is held for a person to check whenever the match is not clear.
How long we keep it
• Enquiries that do not go any further: up to 12 months after our last contact with you, then deleted.
• If you join UW through our team: we keep what we need to support you for as long as you are in our team. UW keeps its own records under its own privacy notice.
• Opt out records: we keep a minimal record of your email address or mobile number for as long as needed to make sure we never contact you again.
Your rights
You have the right to:
• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• ask us to correct it
• ask us to delete it
• ask us to restrict how we use it
• object to us using it, including the absolute right to object to direct marketing
• object to us passing your details to the team member you named
To use any of these rights, email info@sacktheboss.co.uk. We will reply within one month.
How to stop hearing from us
Reply "no thanks" or "STOP" to any email or text, or email info@sacktheboss.co.uk. We will stop straight away and record your request so you are not contacted again.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first at info@sacktheboss.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator: www.ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.
